AMI owns 200 lots located at 4720 S 42nd Street, Omaha, NE, 68107 (Graceland Park Cemetery Company).

AMI Cemetery runs by dedicated committee to help you with the islamic rituals of preparing the deceased for burials.

All Muslims shall have the right to be buried at AMI Cemetery.

A guide for Burial Service:

1. You have to contact us at (402) 884-0070 or info@amiomaha.org to perform the islamic rites of washing the body and burial.

2. Choose only one member of the family to communicate with us. 

3. Our staff will help connect you with one of the funeral committee to start coordinating with the funeral home & the cemetery company.

4. Funeral prayer can be held at the cemetery or at AMI. 

5. Janazah announcement will be sent to the community by Email (needs family approval).

6. Burial cost may vary depend on the season.

7. Only the gravesite immediately next to an occupied one, in compliance with the land map will be used.

9. Funeral Home charge is an agreed-upon price.

Payments:

All payments must be made directly to us. Cash or check must be given to the administration after completing the burial form.

Winter Burials:

If a winter burial cannot occur due to inclement weather, the deceased person may be kept at funeral home until such burial can occur.
